Bob was born in Southampton and has worked in Hampshire most of his life. in his teens he spent a few years in the merchant navy, giving him an incredible opportunity to see the world. he did three circuits of the globe before settling into shore life and building a career.
Bob had 2 successful businesses before becoming a sales office manager at a large sports wholesaler and rose to the role of associate director.
Having traveled to the Scottish borders for golfing trips and holidays Bob and his wife fell in love with the area. They eventually decided to retire early and move to the borders where they already had a holiday home.
Having spent a lot of leisure time woodcarving, once they settled in Bob was moved to turn his hand to painting, having been inspired by the beautiful scenery and wildlife.
“My use of humanely shed antler and horn to create some of my works seems quite natural to me when producing an image of the creature that grew them.”
